i plan to buy a 32 inch LCD tv,just want to watch regular tv & somtimes movies on them.i dont play games?

Can’t go wrong with either TV. I prefer Samsung, but Sony is just as good overall.. If you want HD programming from your cable company, then they’ll want you to buy a box. You don’t need the digital cable box that people with non- digital TV’s had to buy to continue to receive broadcast TV.
Any hd tv would suite you well
Both are good brand and model, personally I would go with Samsung. High contrast ratio, good picture quality.
