Should I take my Sony 32 LCD TV back and get a Vizio 42 LCD with the same stats for 100$ more?

Since you’re into gaming, be sure to check the specs on both sets carefully for the response time. Some less expensive LCDs have a long response time, 6 or 8 ms., which you won’t like for gaming. I’d consider 4 ms. the maximum.
If, for example, the Sony’s response time is 4 ms. and the LG is 6, then it’s a bad trade in my opinion.
The big advantage with Costco, though, is the return policy–90 days, no questions asked.
