Looks like you purchased a COMMERCIAL monitor for Hotels, restaurants etc.....

It uses HDMI and Component connectors to connect to a Satellite or Cable box and it can be daisy-chained to create a Video Wall with the proper box for that too....

You need to get an HDMI connection from a cable box to make that work.....

No RF Coax connectors were designed into that unit....

But if you have a VCR, you can use the VCR's tuner to connect an antenna up to the VCR and turn it on and use the VCR Video outputs to connect to your TV monitor.....

Of Course, I would suggest a Terrestrial tuner WITH HDMI outputs, IF you don't have cable or satellite......
Most electronics stores like Best Buy and Circuit City sell them, along with a CHEAP HDMI cable....you don't need $100 cables with HDMI signals.....

NOW....the GOOD NEWS.....
It's a commercial monitor !!
Extra heavy duty...not a consumer monitor.
Get the converter box, DON'T sell it unless you feel the NEED to sell it....
I'd keep it myself if it were mine....
It's INDUSTRIAL ! Heavy Duty ! Built Solid !

This item is NOT a TV set it is a monitor designed for video bulletin boards

FROM:

The FWD32LX2 is specifically designed for heavy duty operations in public places. Its stylish, yet robust design, combined with high quality picture performance, make the FWD32LX2 an ideal product for digital signage at public places. Typical installations are Point-of-Information (POI), such as presenting timetables in airports and train stations, or Point-of-Sale (POS) with advertising and product promotions in retail outlets. An ultra wide viewing angle of 178 degrees, industry-leading contrast ratio of 1300: 1 and high brightness of 500 cd/m2, mean

To use it as a TV, you will need an external digital TV tuner with HDMI or vioeo output will work or DVR will work

To use as a TV Set you must be able to tune TVchannels which this unit does NOT have.

If new I would consider taking ikt back and buying a TV.

I asked this question from a customs officer at NAIA. He said you will be charged 12% VAT + 15% TAX, based on acquisition cost (receipt).

I had the same thing happen with a surround speaker that was layed on top of my tv. The color actually corrected itself after a day or so. Make sure you keep everything magnetic away from your tv! I hope it did not do any long term damage. It can happen...but I would wait a few days to see before you get it repaired.

Your television might have a cable card and that should have the coax on it, but your best bet is to subscribe to HD and get and HD cable box, It has an HDMI output on it the cable box and that is what you should be using to hook up your television to the cable box. Heck you don't even have to subscribe to HD to get the box, just go get a new cable box and it cost you nothing. Still, with that television, I would most definitely get the HD package, it's so worth it (and I think 10-15 dollars more a month). Good luck.
